Traditional Karate Academy Boston was formed in January 2009 by Sensei Zbigniew Godzisz (3th Dan ITKF) who is a qualified instructor and is registered with the United Kingdom Traditional Karate Federation.

Traditional Karate is a martial art and system of self-defence. Literally "karate-do" means the way of the empty hand, referring to the fact that practioners use only the hands, feet and body. Karate is also founded on philosophical and spiritual tradition and develops not only the body but also the mind and character. Ultimately the purpose of karate is not physical prowess but the development of balance, harmony and spirit through disciplined training which imbues you with peace and wholeness of character to enrich day-to-day life.
